Preventive Services

Visiting your hygienist at least twice a year, or as prescribed by your dentist is the most important step in maintaining proper dental health.

Sealants are also available to help prevent decay. These are plastic coatings applied into the deep grooves and fissures in the molars. Sealants are a great tool to assist in minimizing decay and promoting better dental health. It is recommended that this procedure be done in children as their permanent teeth erupt for maximum protection.

Diagnostics

Our office offers the newest technology in digital x-rays. This allows more comfort during the x ray procedure and less exposure to radiation. Our comprehensive exams are unlike the quick and superficial "check up" you may be familiar with. So that we may have a full understanding of your dental health, we fully examine your muscles, temporomandibular (jaw) joints, your occlusion (bite), as well as a complete oral cancer screening and an evaluation of your gums.

Restorative:

Simple fillings are used to remove and replace small areas of decay. These can be in either white plastic filling material (composite) or in traditional silver filling material (amalgam).

Crowns are needed to restore teeth that are extensively restored or decayed, cracked or broken. The affected tooth is shaved down and covered by a prosthetic tooth, usually made of porcelain, or a combination of metal and porcelain. Our office offers the convenience of Cerec crowns. Bridges help to replace missing teeth with the benefit of a fixed (non-removable) appliance. These are anchored into the mouth with crowns, in a similar procedure. It is important to replace missing teeth to maintain the health of the remaining teeth and the balance of the mouth.

Cerec Machine

We custom fit dentures to each patient to ensure a more natural and comfortable result, allowing a beautiful smile and bite.

Implants are yet another way to replace missing teeth. A titanium "root" is placed in the bone by a specialist. Once healed, we are able to restore this with a crown to give a very natural product.

Endodontics

We offer pain free root canal treatment. Root canal treatment is when the nerve of the tooth is removed due to inflammation or infection. The tooth is sealed with gutta percha, a rubber-like material that stops the flow of any further bacteria into the tooth.

Periodontal

We believe it is essential for all of our patients to have a complete periodontal examination at regular intervals. This is the only way to ensure that any changes or issues in periodontal health are detected. Often, by doing this, we are able to perform more simple treatment to benefit patients. We offer a variety of non-surgical periodontal treatments.

Cosmetic

We offer bleaching or whitening with a gel solution and a custom fit tray. The safe whitening agent is applied daily for up to two hours in the tray, and results are usually seen within a few applications.

Custom Whitening

Veneers are an effective cosmetic procedure where we bond a thin cover of porcelain to the prepared tooth surface. These are helpful in making teeth look whiter, straighter and more evenly spaced.

We can also bond teeth by applying a tooth colored composite resin to repair fissure or chips, or minimize gaps. It is also a procedure that is performed to fill cavities while maintaining a more natural look.
